NCAA Season 100 second round tips off Friday


The second round of the NCAA Season 100 Seniors Basketball Tournament will begin on Friday.

All games in the round will still be played at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

The round opens the Letran Knights squaring off against the Lyceum Pirates at 12:00 p.m.

Following that, at 2:30 PM, the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals will take on the Perpetual Help Altas.

The Finals rematch between San Beda and Mapua University is set for Sunday, October 20.

One of the most anticipated clashes comes on Friday, November 8, when the College of St. Benilde Blazers and Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights face off in what’s being dubbed the “Strong Group Derby.”

The storied rivalry between San Beda and Letran will come to the fore once again on Sunday, November 10.

The other games in the “Intramuros Triangle” series are Mapua taking on Letran on Friday, October 18, and Lyceum squaring off against Mapua on Tuesday, October 29.

The round will close on Wednesday, November 13 with a triple-header that will see Arellano face Letran, San Beda taking on St. Benilde, and San Sebastian squaring off against Mapua.

The NCAA will not observe the FIBA international window. meaning games will continue uninterrupted during that period from November 16 to November 24.

If the Final Four teams are determined without the need for tiebreakers, the semifinals will begin on November 16 and conclude by November 20.

However, if tiebreakers are required, playoff games will take place on November 15 and 17, with the semifinals starting on November 19 and wrapping up on November 22.
