The next two assignments of San Sebastian College-Recoletos will have to wait.
As of Friday afternoon, six Golden Stags and head coach Egay Macaraya have yielded positive COVID-19 tests.
With this, the rest of the team are deemed close contacts, resulting in the league postponing San Sebastian’s games against Lyceum of the Philippine University on Saturday and Emilio Aguinaldo College on Tuesday.
Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Macaraya missed San Sebastian’s game against San Beda University last Wednesday, which it lost, 78-71.
San Sebastian is currently 2-1 in the standings with its wins coming against Mapua (57-56) and Arellano (60-51).
League rules state that the team will have to undergo a seven-day quarantine.
No date yet has been announced on when the games will be played.
