The National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines is set to begin its road to its 96th season with a new daily sports show, ‘Rise Up Stronger: The Road to NCAA Season 96.’
Rise Up Stronger makes its debut later at 5:05PM on GTV. During the weekday, it will air at 2:45PM while showing at 4:30PM every Saturday.
Hosting the show is Martin Javier, who has been with the NCAA since Season 91, and Sophia Senoron.
“To be honest, I never thought I’d get to do this again, but here we are,” said Javier.
“This is such a huge opportunity. It’s an honor to resume my career with the league that trusted me first. Can’t wait to share with you guys what we’ve been working on for the past few weeks.”
“I’m so happy to finally announce that NCAA Season 96 is on its way after almost two years and I will be one of your hosts for the program. As an alumna of the NCAA it feels so good to be back,” added San Beda product Senoron.
The show will serve as the build-up to a unique Season 96 which will begin on June 13.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the NCAA will only hold online events which are chess, speed kicking, Poomsae, and basketball and volleyball skill events.
“With GMA as our media partner, expect a more creative way of doing sports under the new normal,” said NCAA Season 96 President Fr. Vic Calvo, OP.
