NBL: Ronald Pascual makes successful return as Pampanga deals Stan D4 67-point rout


Ronald Pascual had a successful return to basketball, helping Pampanga destroy Stan District 4 by 67, 136-69, Saturday in the 2021 Chooks-to-Go NBL Chairman’s Cup at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Pascual, who last played in the PBA in 2018 and has since gone on a downward spiral, made his debut for the Delta, proving the marksman in him is still there.

The 1/3 of the Pinatubo Trip produced 15 points, all from behind the arc, alongside two rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes of play.

Leading by just eight, the Delta turned on their jets in the second period, making 34 points while putting the clamps on the SparTANs, holding them to just eight points, to enter halftime up by 34, 61-27.

Michael Garcia tallied 24 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five rebounds as Pampanga rose to 4-1.

Encho Serrano, who started the game after coming off the bench their past four games, delivered 18 points on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting, to go with 11 rebounds and five assists.

Kim Penohermoso topscored for the SparTANs, dropping 18 points but committed a game-high seven turnovers as his squad fell to 1-5.

Jared Sevilla punched in 15 points and 10 rebounds but was also careless with the ball with five turnovers.
