NBL: Kai Sotto delivers in 15 min as Adelaide bounces back

Kai Sotto made do of the 15 minutes allotted to him, helping Adelaide take a 96-80 bounce-back win at the expense of Illawarra, Thursday at WIN Entertainment Centre.

Sotto, who is averaging just eight minutes prior to the game, got two points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Dominant were the 36ers in the contest as they shot 54-percent from the field and drained 10 triples against the cellar-dwelling Hawks.

Daniel Johnson led the way for Adelaide with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field with seven rebounds and four assists.

NBA prospect Robert Franks added 25 points as Antonius Cleveland was limited to just three markers.

Anthony Drmic (16 points), Sunday Dech (11), and Mitch Mccarron (10) all scored in double-figures as well, helping Adelaide even its slate to 3-3.

Tyler Harvey paced Illawarra with 25 points. Peyton Siva also tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.

The 36ers will next face the Perth Wildcats on Saturday before the league heads to a 12-day international break.
