Myla Pablo laments F2’s ‘lack of communication’ during decider vs Creamline

Myla Pablo lamented F2 Logistics’ lack of communication in the deciding set of their five-set loss to Creamline in the semifinals of the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.

After taking a 2-1 set advantage, F2 Logistics managed to overcome a 10-20 disadvantage and sent the fourth set to five deuces, only to come up short in the end, resulting in a fifth frame.

Unfortunately, the Cargo Movers failed to sustain their momentum as Creamline surged to a massive 9-1 start in the decider, ultimately dictating the outcome of the match, 25-12, 13-25, 25-23, 28-30, 7-15, at the Philsports Arena on Thursday night.

“Actually nung four sets parang amin na ata pero bumitaw kami. Sabi nga ni coach na parang hinabol namin yung score bakit hindi namin kayang mas kunin yung fourth set para makuha namin yung game,” said the former league MVP, who posted a game-high 27 points in the loss.

“I think nagkulang din talaga kami nung fifth set. Siguro hirap lang din kami makaopensa sa loob ng court and then siguro sa fifth set super nara-rattle na naman kami. Yun yung problema namin every game talaga na hindi nag uusap usap,” she added.

They will still face PLDT, Kinh Bắc Bắc Ninh, and Kurashiki Ablaze.

Pablo revealed that the Cargo Movers will immediately resume their preparations tomorrow, hoping to salvage a top-two finish in the six-team round-robin semifinals.

“Siguro kailangan din talaga namin gawin yung best namin sa game namin sa Saturday. Halos lahat naman pagod naman lahat ng teams e, hindi lang naman kami yung pagod. So kailangan talaga is yung mindset talaga namin is every game talaga is i-focus namin yung bawat game namin,” said Pablo.

“Alam naman natin na bawat team naghahabol ng win e. Pero kami syempre mas kailangan din namin yung win ngayon especially top two nga lang yung makukuha pero syempre yung mga games namin na susunod kailangan talaga namin makuha. Pero paghihirapan namin ‘yon sa training namin. Kung ano yung mga kulang namin sa loob ng court, kailangan i-training namin tomorrow,” she added.
