University of Perpetual Help System DALTA did not look far for its new head coach.
The school has named Frankie Lim’s assistant coach Myk Saguiguit as the next mentor for the team.
Back on September 16, Tiebreaker Times reported that Lim left his post as Perpetual head coach. He alleged that the Tamayo-owned school had not paid him since June.
Lim’s contract ended last November 30, finishing with a 16-21 record. He steered the Altas to the Final Four back in NCAA Season 94.
Linked to the post were Stevenson Tiu and Jerry Codinera. However, Perpetual decided to tap an alumnus as its head coach.
Saguiguit is also the head coach of UCBL school Olivarez College, which he steered to a second-place finish last season.
He also coaches of MPBL club Paranaqui Patriots, who finished in just 14th place in the Chooks-to-Go Lakan Season.
The youthful tactician will inherit a team headlined by graduating senior Ben Adamos come the Season 96 tournament.
