MPL PH: Owl makes successful debut as Blacklist sweeps Omega

Fresh from his stellar stint in the MLBB Development League (MDL), goldlaner Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales made a successful professional debut as Blacklist International asserted their mastery of Smart Omega after a 2-0 sweep in Week 6 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11 on Saturday.

Owl’s promotion from the MDL was announced last week and he immediately made an impact, helping Blacklist secure its sixth win against four losses.

The M3 World Champions are now in a tie for third with RSG Slate Philippines (6-4) who has 18pts, going into the final four matches of the season. The Codebreakers still have a chance to snatch an upper bracket slot with Bren Esports (24pts) and Echo (22pts) still within reach.

Game 1 was pretty much even until Blacklist executed a strategic lord dance in the 10th minute to erase a 1k early game net worth deficit and take control.

Blacklist then punished Deomark “Mikko” Tabangay’s (Chou) initiation in the 17th minute led by Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo’s (Yve) double kill to complete a game-winning 4-2 exchange,1-0.

Flaunting their signature Estes pick in Game 2, Blacklist easily took the series in the 15th minute with Owl (Karrie) finishing with a perfect 3-0-4 KDA.
