MPL PH: Nets’s split push eclipses SUPER MARCO’s savage as Onic sweeps Bren

Goldlaner Kenneth “Nets” Barro once again delivered a nifty split push, reminiscent of their regulars season play against Blacklist International to help Onic Philippines conclude their Season 11 campaign with a 2-0 sweep of league-leading Bren Esports in the final week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines at the Shooting Gallery Studios on Saturday.

With the playoff cast already set, Onic was playing only for final placement but brought their best game for last as they took down the league’s hottest team. They finished the regular season in the fifth spot with 19 points.

Preparation was key for Onic’s impressive sweep of Bren as they used the holy week break to find the right formula in taking down the M2 world champions.

Onic Philippines took control of the opener during a lengthy 10th-minute sequence where Jefferdson “Kekedot” Mogol’s (Khufra) executed a two-man Tyran’s Rage followed by a three-man Noumenon Blast from Frince Miguel “SUPER FRINCE” Ramirez (Valentina).

Nowee “Ryota” Macasa (Grock) then entered the team fight with a flicker Wild Charge that was concluded by Nets (Claude) with a triple kill.

SUPER FRINCE then scored another double kill during a 12th-minute team fight that resulted in a 5-0 wipeout, giving Onic the opener, 1-0.

Onic looked poised for a sweep when they picked off two enemy heroes with the lord marching onto the enemy base turret but Marco “Super Marco” Requitano (Brody) played out of his mind and singlehandedly wipe out the hedgehogs for his first career savage.

Onic quickly reset though with Nets (Claude) sneaking through the bottom lane to execute a successful split push and complete the sweep.
