RSG Slate Philippines goldlaner Eman “EMANN” Sangco rediscovered his MVP form in anchoring his team to a 2-0 win over Onic Philippines in Week 1 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11 on Sunday.
The MLBB Southeast Asian Cup (MSC) MVP compiled a total of 17 kills and seven assists in the two-game series while only conceding three deaths.
It was also a sweet debut for new acquisition John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, who took his first win in the RSG uniform after moving from Nexplay Evos during the off-season.
For RSG Coach Brian “Panda” Lim though, they are far from competitive form despite the win.
“Compared to what I want to achieve by the end of the regular season, right now our performance is one out of five, maybe two for now. But we are still working on that because we’re doing our best as a team to build chemistry,” he said.
Onic looked poised for an opening win after taking down two inhibitor turrets by the 11th minute while only conceding one outer turret. But RSG displayed tremendous resilience in fighting back from a 6k net worth deficit and extending the match deep into the late game.
This is where EMANN took over as he sniped down four enemy heroes during the 29th-minute lord fight to lead RSG’s 5-1 wipeout and complete the comeback win, 1-0.
Game 2 marked several momentum changes with both teams taking map control in several stretches. However, EMANN once again delivered for RSG, initially taking a triple kill during the 12th minute to help RSG secure the luminous lord.
He then scored a maniac scoring streak late in the 19th minute to single-handedly gun down a 4-1 tradeoff to complete the sweep.
