MPL PH: Emann’s late flurry vs Blacklist snaps RSG’s skid

RSG PH snapped its two-game losing streak, downing Blacklist International, 2-1, in the MPL Philippines Season Nine on Sunday night.

Fighting for the Luminous Lord in the clincher, Dylan “Light” Catipon (Chou) caught Kent “Kevier” Lopez’s Lancelot while Eman “EMANN” Sangco’s Beatrix secured a Triple Kill to complete a four-man wipe of Blacklist International past the 13-minute mark.

Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba (Lolita) tried to hold the fort for Blacklist International but it was not enough as RSG PH secured the sweep.

EMANN delivered seven kills on top of two assists while Light had six assists and a death in the 9-6 Game Three win in 13 minutes and 54 seconds.

With the win, RSG PH (4-2) tied TNC (3-2) at the second spot with 11 points each.

Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo’s early rotations gave RSG PH a huge boost to start the opener. And with the team hitting its power spike as early as expected RSG PH breezed through Game One with ease.

Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto (Hayabusa), who also played a huge role in RSG PH’s dominance, finished with six kills and four assists against a death in the 14-2 Game One stomp in 13 minutes and 56 seconds.

Blacklist International, who failed to contain RSG PH’s early run, was limited to just two kills in the contest — both of which came from Kevier’s Roger.

RSG PH brought out a Chou jungler in the second game. However, save for an assist in the first minute of the match, Demonkite proved to be a non-factor as Blacklist International tied the series at 1-all.
