MPL: Blacklist boots TNC out, strengthens top seed bid

Blacklist International strengthened its bid for the top seed after handing TNC a rough exit, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season, Saturday at the ICITE Auditorium.

The Tier One-backed squad (8-5) grabbed the number one spot in the standings with 25 points – just a point behind the 9-3 ECHO, who currently has 24 points.

Blacklist International foiled TNC’s upset bid in Game One after Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Akai) secured the second Lord of the match during the 17th minute mark despite the antics of Ben “Benthings” Maglaque’s Grock.

Benthings tried to steal the Lord with the Wild Charge but could not secure the objective. Wise immediately snagged the Lord to help his side take a 1-0 advantage.

Kiel “OHEB” Soriano (Claude) finished with eight kills and seven assists without a single death while Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna (Mathilda) had a game-high 14 assists to go along with a kill and six deaths in 18 minutes and 45 seconds of action.

Lopsided was the second match as Blacklist International manhandled TNC, 24-3, to take the victory in just 12 minutes and eight seconds.

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario took charge with four kills, a death, and 14 assists while Salic “Hadji” Imam (Kagura) had a clean 9-0-8 KDA line in the win.

Blacklist International will face defending champion RSG PH tomorrow, Sunday at 7:30 PM.
