TNC made sure to enter the win column in the grandest of ways.
After dropping its first five games, TNC finally scored its first win in MPL Philippines Season 10 by snapping the league-leading ONIC PH’s four-game winning streak, 2-0, at the ICITE Auditorium on Friday.
The MPL PH Season Nine bronze medalists dissected ONIC PH in the opener, taking an almost 11K gold advantage in the first 12 minutes to go along with a 5-0 lead in kills.
All of that, though, almost went for naught during the first siege that saw ONIC PH take down Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille’s Beatrix before a pause halted the crucial clash. Stephen “Sensui” Castillo (Chou) and Jomarie “Escalera” Delos Santos (Valentina) also went down during that span.
TNC then secured the second Lord of the contest in the 15th minute which proved to be the end for ONIC PH.
Ben “Benthings” Maglaque led the way in the 6-3 Game One win with a game-high six assists on Franco while Yasuwo had three kills, a death, and three assists.
TNC then bagged Game Two for the sweep.
TNC looks to pick up where they left off against Blacklist International tomorrow, Saturday at 8:00 PM while ONIC PH will try to bounce back against Bren Esports next Saturday at 4:00 PM.
