Moises Ilogon faces litmus test at ONE Friday Fights 74

Moises Ilogon looks to sustain his winning momentum in ONE Championship.

The Qatar-based Filipino mixed martial artist reports for duty at ONE Friday Fights 74 on August 9, squaring off against South Korea’s Lee Seung Chul in a three-round strawweight bout.

It can be recalled that the 23-year-old Cagayan de Oro native authored a come-from-behind victory in his November 2023 promotional debut, thwarting Cho Joon Gun by way of a third-round TKO.

Despite facing adversity early in the encounter, Ilogon rallied in the third round, landing a solid body kick that set up a barrage of ground strikes for the finish.

With that triumph behind him, “The Lion King” now aims to replicate his success in his sophomore appearance.

The stakes are high, as a strong performance could edge him closer to earning a coveted main roster spot and a substantial $100,000 contract with the organization.

However, Ilogon’s task is far from easy. His opponent, Lee, presents a tall order.

Lee boasts a remarkable 7-1 slate with an impressive 100 percent finishing rate — including five wins by knockout and two by submission.

The most notable victory of Lee’s career so far was a 72-second knockout of former world title challenger Rene Catalan in October 2023 outside of ONE.

Under the ONE Friday Fights banner, Lee is eager to continue his outstanding run and secure his place among the promotion’s elite.

For Ilogon, this matchup represents a significant step up in competition. Lee’s dominance on the regional circuit has established him as a rising star, and his prowess in both striking and grappling makes him a formidable challenge.

The upcoming assignment will be a true test of Ilogon’s skills and resolve, and a victory will certainly put him on the radar for a chance to join the main roster.
