Milo launches new campaign for from home activities for kids

Milo Philippines found another way to reach out and spread the good message to the country’s youth in this time of the pandemic with its new campaign “Mula Ngayon, Hanggang Ngayon – Tuloy ang Pagiging Champion.”

Milo’s brand theme for 2021 aims to show parents that they can still help their kids jumpstart and propel their champion dreams at home amidst the changing waves of time.

“It’s very challenging how to keep our children active while staying at home, and this campaign will ensure that there are ways,” said Milo Sports Manager Lester Castillo in Tuesday’s Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) online Forum.

The latest campaign comes off the heels of Milo’s umbrella online sports program — the MILO Home Court, which served as the brand’s breakthrough initiative to pivot its signature on-ground sports activities to online.

“It’s a combination of physical activity and studying, and helps nourish the kids’ dreams for success,” added Nestle Philippines senior vice president Veronica Cruz during the forum presented by San Miguel Corporation (SMC), Milo, Amelie Hotel Manila, Braska Restaurant, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

To ensure that the campaign reaches a broader base, Milo Philippines has tapped products of the Milo BEST Academy, led by former basketball superstar Jerry Codinera and rising star Ella Fajardo, who plays for Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey in the US NCAA Division 1.

“The Milo program is always about perseverance, discipline and good attitude,” said Codinera in the forum powered by SMART with Upstream Media as webcast partner.

“Teaching kids at a young age makes them absorb it more. And what’s most important is the attention to detail, discipline, leadership, teamwork,” said the 18-year-old Fajardo.

Like its previous campaigns, Milo has partnered with the Department of Education and has reached millions of students nationwide through video instructionals, drills, and lessons children can do at home.

Castillo said as part of the program, Milo has distributed over five million PE kits nationwide and is in the process of distributing printed learning modules to students.
