Philippine Superliga ambassador Mika Reyes has completed the cast of seven locals of the PSL All-Star contingent that will compete in the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship on October 18-23, to be hosted by the country at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
A neophyte to international competitions, the three-time UAAP champion will join RC Cola-Army’s Rachel Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga, F2 teammate Kim Fajardo, Foton’s Jaja Santiago, and Petron’s Jen Reyes and Ces Molina.
The golden ticket ties a pretty bow on Reyes’ monumental year, having just led the De La Salle University Lady Spikers to a UAAP title in her final playing year.
With the seven locals named, the PSL will add seven imports to the lineup to reinforce the squad.
The tournament will feature world-class club teams Hisamitsu Springs of Japan, Rexona Ades of Brazil, Pomi Casalmaggiore of Italy, Bangkok Glass of Thailand, Eczacibasi Vitra and VakifBank of Turkey, and Volero Zurich of Switzerland.
