The Bolts took down fellow contenders Purefoods Tender Juicy through a 20-16 decision to finish atop Pool B with a 3-0 record.
Joseph Sedurifa led the balanced attack with seven points as the MVP ball club remained on track of improving its runner-up finish from Leg 1.
Meralco will battle Pool C’s second-seeded team in Barangay Ginebra, the first leg’s third-placers, in the playoffs’ opening round later today.

On the other hand, the Appmasters clinched the no. 1 seed of Pool C with a 3-0 slate as well following their 21-14 conquest of NorthPort.
Jorey Napoles finished with nine points for the reigning grand champions, who are hoping to better their fourth-place finish in the previous leg.
Limitless will take on TNT in the next round. The first leg rulers locked the second spot in Pool A after escaping Master Sardines, 15-13.
Almond Vosotros powered the Tropang Giga with nine points as he either scored or assisted in his team’s 12 points.

Meanwhile, Joseph Eriobu sank the game-clincher as the Titans outlasted the Batang Pier, 21-18, in the knockout for the last QF ticket.
Purefoods will take on no. 1 seed Pioneer ProTibay in the next stage. The guest team surprised many on Day 1 after sweeping all of its four games.
Platinum Karaoke and San Miguel will open the quarters.
