Markyyyy explains why he ended up using Melissa in Game Two vs Blacklist

A headphone malfunction in Game Two forced Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio to use Melissa in its Game Two loss against Blacklist International on Friday night.

According to the 23-year-old gold laner, his headphones suddenly stopped working prior to the Game Two draft – causing him to miss out on the team’s strategic process. So, when coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda finally asked what he wanted to play, he panicked and chose Melissa.

“‘Di ako nakasali buong draft,” Markyyyyy said during the post-game interview. “Ano po kasi, hindi ako nakasali sa draft. Nagloko yung headset ko kaya nagpanic na ako magpick ng hero, pinapapili na ako ni coach [Yeb] ng hero, nag panic na ako non kaya sabi ko Melissa na lang.”

Markyyyyy had a decent KDA line in Game Two, finishing with a kill, two deaths, and three assists. However, it was not enough as ONIC PH suffered a 7-11 loss at the hands of the back-to-back champions which sent the game to a deciding Game Three.

Still, the pride of Marikina City said that Melissa is indeed a viable option in the professional scene. Unfortunately, the new hero was not just a great choice against Blacklist International’s mobile composition of Benedetta, Chou, Jawhead, and Ling.

Markyyyyy eventually atoned for his subpar outing in Game Two. Playing Lunox in the winner-take-all Game Three, Markyyyyy finally played like his true self – even ending with a 4-1-3 stat line to help ONIC PH overcome Blacklist International’s tough stand which lasted for 30 minutes and 43 seconds.

With the win, ONIC PH (5-3) tied RSG PH (5-2) at the third spot with 13 points each.
