The Pampanga Delta made a rousing debut after stunning reigning champion Parañaque Aces, 86-83, last Sunday in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2 at the Metroasia Compound in Pasig City.
Ardy Dizon had 21 points, while Mark Tungcul added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Delta in their first-ever game in the league for homegrown talents.
The Aces suffered their first loss after four games.
John Manayan had 16 points, while Jamil Bulawan had 12 points and 14 rebounds as the CamSur Express won their second game in three outings after defeating One Cainta, 75-51.
Meanwhile, Iriga City took the solo lead after beating One Cainta, 87-83, last Saturday at the STI Malolos Gym in Bulacan.
Lyndon Alanis had 25 points including five three-pointers for the Oragons, who now lead the team standings with a 3-0 record.
Meanwhile, the Bulacan Starks improved their record to 2-0 following an 89-94 victory over the Pasig Rios. Paolo Andres had 23 points, and John Cruz had 22 points for the Starks.
