Manny Pacquiao is coming back to the NCAA.
The former senator and the world’s only eight-division boxing world champion has pledged his support to the Season 99 campaign of San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
New Golden Stags head coach John Kallos, who is also the head coach of Pacquiao-owned MPBL team Sarangani, gave the boxing luminary an honorary San Sebastian jersey early Wednesday morning.
“Ano ang susuportahan mong team?” asked Kallos in a Facebook story to which Pacquiao replied, “San Sebastian!”
In another story, Kallos announced that Pacquiao will be the new team manager of the Golden Stags as the owner of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League signed the jersey given to him.
The last time Pacquiao supported a varsity team was back in NCAA Season 91 when he backed Aldin Ayo’s Colegio de San Juan De Letran.
MP Hotel supported the Knights’ campaign in the 2015 PBA D-League while also helping out with the expenses of the team during the season.
San Sebastian is coming off an 8-10 campaign last season.
