Ateneo might be losing two of its seniors for UAAP Season 85.
The Blue Eagles’ backcourt duo of Gian Mamuyac and Tyler Tio have applied for the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft.
The two have submitted their application forms to the league’s office in Libis, Pasig through their agent PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group.
And Mamuyac and Tio are prime and ready for the next level.
Mamuyac, 23, has been a steady presence for the Blue Eagles this season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.93 rebounds, 1.33 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest.
His defense has been his weapon during his first three years in Ateneo but in his senior year, the 6-foot swingman has developed a three-point shot as well, knocking down 39-percent of his attempts from downtown.
Tio, 24, meanwhile, is one of the go-to bucket-getters for Ateneo this season.
The 5-foot-11 combo guard is averaging 7.47 points on 32.81-percent from deep with 1.87 assists per contest.
Also applying for the draft is BJ Andrade, who is averaging 6.27 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
Tio, Mamuyac, and Andrade can still withdraw from the draft a few days before the proper on May 15.
The three Blue Eagles still have a year of eligibility left.
