Malaysia’s Yoodoo taps Arcadia as head coach

Filipino coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado’s next journey will be in Malaysia.

On Saturday, MPL Malaysia squad Yoodoo Red Giants announced on its social media pages the signing of the former MPL Philippines champion coach.

“Ready to get down to work. Follow me as I begin this new chapter with Yoodo Red Giants. See you guys in MPL Malaysia S12,” Arcadia said in a Facebook post.

Arcadia last coached RRQ Hoshi in the MPL Indonesia Season 11 but was let go right after the season. The ex-ECHO coach took a break in the midst of the season as the team suffered a fourth place finish.

During his time with the King of Kings, the team was able to finish second in the MPL ID Season 10 and third in the M4 World Championships.

Meanwhile, the Red Giants, which is backed by football club Selangor FC, was coming off a 5th-6th place campaign in the MPL Malaysia Season 11.

The team was able to grab an upper bracket slot after finishing fourth in the regular season but lost to Team Lunatix in three games in the quarterfinals.
