Magsayo leads ALA’s young guns in Pinoy Pride 41


It’s the young guns’ turn to take center stage once again Mark Magsayo leads ALA Boxing Promotion’s 41st card on Saturday, July 8 at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City.

Headlining his second card in two years, 22-year-old Magsayo (16-0, 12 KOs) will defend his WBO International Featherweight crown against Daniel Diaz (23-7-2, 15 KOs) of Nicaragua.

The Waray is coming off an impressive first round TKO win against Issa Nampepeche last April 29, 2017.

Coming of his 11th straight victory three months ago, 21-year-old Santisima (13-2, 11 KOs) looks to continue his winning run. While 23-year-old Albert Pagara (27-1, 18 KOs) is set to face Thai veteran Aekkawee Kaewmanee (16-9, 6 KOs).

Former world title challenger Melvin Jerusalem (11-1, 7KOs), 23, will try to bounce back from his loss to WBC World Minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin last January as he takes on Joey Canoy (12-3-1, 6KOs) of the famed Rex Wakee Salud Boxing Stable.
