Mac Cardona arrested for serious physical injuries stemming from BGC brawl

Embattled ex-pro Mac Cardona was arrested by the Mandaluyong Police, Thursday morning.

Cardona, 39, was apprehended by Sub-Station 1 personnel led by Plt. Ryan Marcelo and Plt. Glen Mangalindan at 9:00AM.

The arrest stemmed from the brawl he figured in back on February 5, 2020 in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

In the video, Cardona threw a punch at an unknown individual, while an alleged friend of his chased down another. The person whom one of Cardona’s friends confronted then fell to the ground before he decided to stomp him.

The two groups were separated afterward, with only one bouncer present.

According to a source closely monitoring the situation, Cardona witnessed the other group “groping” a girl. It triggered him and his friends, causing the melee.

The two men whom Cardona and his group hit filed charges afterward.

Cardona is presently detained at the Custodial Facility Unit of Mandaluyong City Police Station, and will be presented to the court of origin for proper disposition.

The 6-foot cager signed with MPBL club Gen San back in January.

Back in 2018, Cardona was arrested by Makati police after allegedly injuring his live-in partner with a bladed weapon.
