LGR partners with Strong Group

LGR Sportswear has officially partnered with Strong Group Athletics as their exclusive outfitter.

The landmark partnership was signed on Thursday, September 19, at the LGR headquarters in Manila.

Through this collaboration, LGR Sportswear will provide gear and apparel for Strong Group’s teams that compete on the global stage, including in tournaments such as the Dubai International Basketball Championship and the William Jones Cup.

Rhayan Cruz, Chief Executive Officer of LGR Sportswear, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.

“We are glad to partner with Strong Group Athletics, as they have consistently represented the Philippines well in various international competitions. As a proud Filipino brand, it’s inspiring to see private entities working together to promote Philippine sports on a global level. We are excited to provide support to our athletes that carry our banner in global competitions. It’s also very special for me that Strong Group supports my alma mater, Letran, and its athletes,” said Cruz.

Jacob Lao, CEO of Strong Group Athletics, also shared his admiration for LGR and its legacy in the sports industry.

“I’ve always looked up to LGR Sportswear and how they’ve built their brand from humble beginnings. Their story inspires us, and we’re excited to represent their brand in the best way possible,” Lao stated.

In addition to outfitting the teams, LGR Sportswear will also support Strong Group Athletics’ broader goals of developing the local basketball scene, including the much-anticipated launch of the Strong Women’s Basketball Association.
