La Salle taps Danny Seigle as Team B ‘consultant’

Though the De La Salle University Green Archers were still in the midst of their UAAP Season 81 Men’s Basketball campaign, the school has already been preparing for the future.

To help ready the Green Archers’ Team B squad, the team’s brass has tapped PBA legend Danny Seigle as the squad’s ‘consultant’. He started with the team early this month.

Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

Seigle, who entered coaching last season, will help prepare key transferees Jordan Bartlett, Tyrus Hill, and Kurt Lojera for next season. Donn Lim and Ralph Cu are also part of La Salle’s Team B.

And one of the teams they have been figuring in tune-ups with is San Miguel Alab Pilipinas, a team that has Seigle as its assistant coach.

“Siyempre there’s the preseason tournament, like Fr. Martin’s and BBI. But more than that, nagtre-training din sila with Alab,” said one of the sources, who requested anonymity. “Two birds, one stone kasi Alab is preparing for their title defense din.”

It is still unknown whether the four-time PBA Finals Most Valuable Player and two-time PBA Best Player of the Conference will be elevated to the Green Archers come next season.
