De La Salle University continues to build on its promising future in the UAAP.
The Lady Spikers have secured the services of Jade Fuentes, who announced her commitment to the proud program through an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Fuentes, who stands at 5-foot-11, is an outside hitter from Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles, California.
“So stoked and incredibly blessed to be able to announce that I will be joining the La Salle family in the Philippines!” her post read.
“Go Archers!”
The Filipina-Mexican hitter led Eagle Rock to a City Championship and was the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) L.A. City Section Open Division MVP, as per Northeast Los Angeles Sports One.
Fresh from high school, the 17-year-old is eligible to suit up for the Ramil de Jesus-mentored squad come UAAP Season 83.
Given this, Fuentes will be playing alongside other budding talents of DLSU in Jolina dela Cruz, Thea Gagate, Leila Cruz, Justine Jazareno, and Baby Jane Soreño, among others.
