Klay Thompson arrives in Manila to launch Anta KT9

Four-time NBA Champion and one-half of the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson, who is also an ANTA global endorser, saved the best for last by concluding his ANTA World Tour with a three-day trip to Manila.

Thompson, accompanied by teammate Kevon Looney, has already visited Xiamen, Chengdu, and Shanghai in China before arriving in Manila to participate in ANTA’s Shock the Game finals. They will also meet Filipino fans at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall on August 31.

“It’s the first time for Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney to visit the Philippines, and it’s of great significance for us to bring Klay here to meet his Filipino followers, known as the world’s most passionate basketball fans,” said JP Paglinawan, General Manager for ANTA Group Philippines.

The National Finals of ANTA’s Shock the Game tournament will be open to the public, providing Thompson and Looney with more opportunities to interact with their Filipino fans.

Over the years, Shock the Game has transformed street basketball at the grassroots level in the Philippines, as ANTA provides opportunities for young players from various schools across the country to showcase their skills and compete for team and school pride in a unique four-on-four full-court setup.

Interestingly, Thompson and Looney’s visit to Manila coincides with the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 tournament, where our very own Jordan Clarkson wore ANTA shoes in all of his games for Gilas Pilipinas. Clarkson remains one of the leading scorers behind fellow NBA stars Luka Doncic and Karl Anthony Towns at the FIBA games.

This has generated even more excitement around Thompson’s latest basketball shoes, the KT9, scheduled to be released on August 31, 2023.

ANTA takes pride in its state-of-the-art cushioning system powered by nitro edge technology, providing the necessary cushioning while enhancing the user’s performance.
