King Mindaugas Cup: Juan GDL makes debut for Wolves

Just four days after arriving in Alytus, Wolves BC immediately plunged Juan Gomez de Liano into action.

Gomez de Liano played six minutes in the Wolves’ 95-70 win over Labas Gas Prienai to even their slate in Pool A of the 7th Citadele King Mindaugas Cup, Thursday (Manila time) at Alytus Sports and Recreation Center in Lithuania.

In his time on the floor, the reigning PBA D-League MVP went scoreless but still grabbed four rebounds.

Still, it was a huge bounce back win for the Wolves who dropped their opening game in the Cup tournament to Neptūnas last Monday, 81-85.

Kristupas Zemaitis led the Wolves with 17 points while Marcos Della added 15 markers. Hugo Invernizzi and Adas Juskevicius added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Brandon Brown led Labas Gas with 18 markers but it was not enough to lift his side to the win column in two games.

The Wolves’ next game in the cup tournament will be on November 2 against Juventus.

Meanwhile, Juan GDL looks to make his league debut on Saturday when the Wolves face Wilnius Rytus.
