ANTIPOLO — Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s revelation is now immortalized in NCAA lore.
King Caralipio was adjudged the NCAA Season 98 Seniors Basketball Finals Most Valuable Player.
Caralipio, a senior, averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in their three-game clash against the Blazers.
“Hindi ko alam ang nararamdaman ko, nakakaiyak, lahat ng sakripisyo namin nagbunga na,” said the graduating winger.
“Para ito kay Fran Yu.”
In the decider, Caralipio dropped 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting with 10 rebounds.
“Wala na po e. Last laro ko na ito, gragraduate na ko kaya binuhos ko na lahat ng kaya ko para makuha itong championship,” said the NCAA Season 98 Mythical Team member.
Bonnie Tan, meanwhile, was hailed as the Coach of the Year for the third straight season.
