Kiefer Ravena was once again a picture of efficiency, guiding Shiga to an 85-77 victory over Ibaraki in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday afternoon at Ukaruchan Arena.
Ravena once again took charge in the final frame. He ended up with 11 points, seven assists, and two steals. He was a game-high plus-11 as well.
And again, Ravena’s poise took centerstage.
Clinging to a 76-75 lead late in the contest, Ravena found Tomomasa Ozawa for back-to-back baskets in a five-point swing to fend off the upset-hungry Robots.
Ozawa was adjudged as the Player of the Game after finishing with 17 points built on five treys.
With Ovie Soko being limited to just six points on 3-of-14 shooting from the field, Novar Gadson and Sean O’Mara stepped up as well.
Gadson scattered 16 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals while O’Mara got 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals
Shiga went up to 3-1 while dropping Ibaraki to 0-4.
Eric Jacobsen paced Ibaraki with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, while Atsunobu Hirao got 17 points and six assists.
Ravena and Shiga will head to Kyoto next weekend to face Hannaryz.
Ibaraki, on the other hand, will still be without Gomez de Liano next weekend when it hosts Utsonomiya at Adastria Mito Arena.
