Even if the team is experiencing visa issues to two of its players, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas remained steadfast Tuesday afternoon, unveiling the 12-man lineup that will compete in the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
Bannering the squad will be two second-generation cagers, namely Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng.
Ravena is fresh-off winning a record-breaking fourth SEA Games gold medal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia a month ago. Teng, on the other hand, was part of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup second-placers Flying V Thunder.
Three PBA players will also join the team as the Alaska Aces, the TNT Katropa, and the Kia Picanto allowed Carl Cruz, Norbert Torres, and LA Revilla respectively. TNT practice player Alfrancis Tamsi also joins the team.
Completing the team are Almond Vosotros, Raymar Jose, Jett Manuel, and Jeric Teng.
Imports Isaiah Austin and Rod Ebondo are still trying to secure their Chinese visas. In case the two won’t make it, Gab Banal and Andre Paras are the team’s reserves.
The tournament will take place from September 22-30 in Chenzhou, China.
