Kiefer Ravena guides Shiga to next round of Emperor’s Cup

Kiefer Ravena had a field day in Shiga’s 91-82 win over Fukuoka to advance to the next round of the 97th Emperor’s Cup, Sunday at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tokyo, Japan.

The 6-foot combo guard had 12 points, nine assists, two rebounds, and a steal in the win. Shiga sets up a showdown against either the Alvark Tokyo or Chiba Jets tomorrow at 6:00 PM.

Shiga dominated the contest, knocking down a total of 10 triples in the contest. It also outrebounded Fukuoka, 48-30.

And in the second stanza, the Lakestars decided to turn it up, turning a 27-all deadlock to a 53-39 lead entering the second half.

The Rising Zephyr were able to cut the lead down to 85-77 with 2:53 left. But Sean O’Mara nailed momentum-breaking shots to stop Fukuoka’s uprising.
