Kiefer Ravena had a field day in Shiga’s 91-82 win over Fukuoka to advance to the next round of the 97th Emperor’s Cup, Sunday at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tokyo, Japan.
The 6-foot combo guard had 12 points, nine assists, two rebounds, and a steal in the win. Shiga sets up a showdown against either the Alvark Tokyo or Chiba Jets tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
Shiga dominated the contest, knocking down a total of 10 triples in the contest. It also outrebounded Fukuoka, 48-30.
And in the second stanza, the Lakestars decided to turn it up, turning a 27-all deadlock to a 53-39 lead entering the second half.
The Rising Zephyr were able to cut the lead down to 85-77 with 2:53 left. But Sean O’Mara nailed momentum-breaking shots to stop Fukuoka’s uprising.
O’Mara had 29 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and a steal. Novar Gadson and Daichi Nomoto added 14 points each.
Taishi Shirato and Aiki Tanno had 18 points each for Fukuoka, while Gerald Beverly added 15 points and six rebounds.
