Kevin Belingon’s skid continued on ONE: Winter Warriors, being handed a second-round TKO loss by Korean upstart Kwon Won Il, Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The stoppage came with just 52 seconds into the second round.
After a brief exchange, the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion missed an overhand right. Just as he was weaving away, Kwon timed a hard body shot.
It stunned Belingon, sending him crashing to the mat for the stoppage.
It was a tough loss, as the Team Lakay standout was keeping in pace with the taller Kwon in the first round.
Kicks from all angles by Belingon kept a distance from Kwon early while also connecting with sweeps that dropped Kwon.
The latter end of the round, though, saw Kwon take command of the Circle, cornering the Filipino.
It was the same technique Kwon did to start the second stanza that set up the finish.
Belingon, the no. 2-ranked bantamweight in ONE prior to the bout, fell to 20-9, suffering his fourth straight loss – the last three coming from stoppages.
Kwon, on the other hand, rose to 11-3.
