Keith Datu headlines PBA 3×3 guest team J&T Express

J&T Express is the newest team to join the PBA 3×3 field as it makes its much-awaited debut in the league’s second season.

The delivery service company launched its brand new squad on Tuesday at Upper Deck Sports Center.

“We’re honored to put up our own team in the PBA 3×3 arena. As one of the leading express delivery service providers in the country, we feel that this endeavor will only extend our reach and we thank the PBA for welcoming J&T Express with open arms into the PBA family,” said Zoe Chi, J&T Express Philippines vice president.

It’s an exciting time for J&T Express as it looks to compete among the best 3×3 crews in the country after long being a partner of the PBA.

Former national 3×3 team member Marvin Hayes will spearhead the squad as he brings his veteran instincts after numerous championships with Limitless Appmasters and Purefoods TJ Titans.

Sweet-shooting forward Joseph Sedurifa also joins the squad after previously playing for Meralco Bolts 3×3.

University of Santo Tomas gunner Jeric Teng, who last played for Master Sardines Fishing Champs, and National University guard Robin Rono, previously of Pioneer Pro Tibay, are also part of the unit, as well as Fil-Am big man Keith Datu out of Chico State in California.

Ryan Monteclaro will serve as the playing-head coach for J&T as he seeks to steer the new team to contention in its first conference.

“We’re excited to represent J&T Express in the PBA 3×3 and we believe that we have put up a competitive team which can challenge the best squads out there. We know it’s going to be a challenge, but we’re ready and we’re embracing it,” he said.
