RJ Abarrientos steered Ulsan Hyundai Mobis to an 84-69 win over Goyang to move on the cusp of a semifinals berth in the 2023 Korean Basketball League playoffs, Thursday at Goyang Gymnasium.
The Phoebus can clinch a showdown with Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC on Saturday.
Ulsan Hyundai took Game 1 last Sunday with an 86-71 with at home but Goyang was able to knot the best-of-five series with an 86-79 win two days later.
This time around, the Phoebus dominated the Carrot Jumpers to take the series lead.
Abarrientos, the reigning Rookie of the Year, scored 12 points to go along with six assists to steer Ulsan to victory.
Gaige Prim also had a monster game with 31 points and 14 rebounds while Seo Myeongjin fired 15 points.
Just like in Game Two, the Carrot Jumpers were just a two-man show with Lee Junghyun exploding for 26 points while Dedric Lawson added 19 points and nine rebounds.
This time around, it was not enough for Goyang.
