KBL: Abarrientos, Ulsan dealt upset by Goyang


RJ Abarrientos and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis were dealt a 77-80 upset by Goyang in the 2022-23 KBL Season, Thursday at Goyang Gymnasium.

The Phoebus suffered their third loss in four games, dropping to 16-12 — tied for third with SK Seoul.

Abarrientos tallied 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting with five assists, four steals, and two rebounds but it was not enough to lift Ulsan to victory.

Jang Jaesok and Kim Younghyun led Ulsan with 15 points apiece while Gaige Prim was limited to just 13 points and seven rebounds.

Jeon Seonghyun dropped 22 points to lead the way for the Carrot Jumpers, who went up to 14-15.

Lee Junghyun got 18 points while Dedric Lawson produced 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Justin Gutang and Changwon LG snapped their two game skid, defeating Seoul Samsung 79-68.

Gutang got six points, three rebounds, and three assists as the Sakers went up to 16-11 for solo second.

Lee Jaedo paced Changwon with 19 points while Lee Gwanhee got 17 markers.

Lee Weonseok paced the Thunders with 16 points while Lee Junghyun added 13 points.

Seoul Samsung fell to 10-19, remaining last in the league.
