KBL: Abando returns from injury in KGC win; Belangel could not help stop KOGAS skid

Rhenz Abando played limited minutes in Anyang KGC’s 92-74 win over Wonju DB in the 2022-23 KBL season, Thursday at Anyang Gymnasium.

The NCAA Season 97 MVP only played 11 minutes as he is nursing a minor injury. Abando got two points, two rebounds, and an assist.

It was Omari Spellman who carried the cudgels for the league-leading Anyang, dropping 38 points and 13 rebounds and helping his side raise their slate to 18-8.

Ethan Alvano tallied 11 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds but it was not enough to lift the Promy from suffering back-to-back losses. They fell to 10-16.

Kim Jongkyu paced Wonju with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Over at Gunsan Wolmyeong Gymnasium, Belangel and Daegu KOGAS fell to Jeonju KCC, 73-82.

Belangel fired two treys for 10 points but the Pegasus dropped to 10-16 in the standings.

The Egis, who are waiting clearance to play Calvin Epistola, were led by Heo Ung, who got 22 points on five triples.

Ricardo Ratliffe tallied 19 points and 19 rebounds while Lee Seounghyun added 16 markers, helping KCC raise their slate to 13-13.

Lee Daesung and Lee Daeheon both tallied 17 points apiece for KOGAS.
