Kai Sotto to miss Adelaide’s home game debut vs Illawarra

Kai Sotto is set to sit his second straight game for Adelaide.

This as the 36ers have ruled out the 7-foot-3 big man in their home opener against Illawarra on Sunday.

Sotto continues to be bothered by a bruised knee cap that has forced him out of all but one game in the NBL Blitz and their game against Perth last Friday.

Also set to miss the game are Emmanuel Malou (knee soreness) and Sunday Dech (quadriceps).

Adelaide has called up Development Player Lachlan Olbrich from the injury reserve list while Hyrum Harris has also cleared protocols.

Last Friday, the 36ers suffered a 75-83 loss against the Wildcats at RAC Arena.

Vic Law dropped a career-high 37 points to lead Perth.

Daniel Johnson had 22 points while Cameron Bairstow added 15.
