Kai Sotto remains out for Adelaide


Kai Sotto will sit out his fourth straight game for Adelaide.

The 36ers announced that the 19-year-old big man out of Ateneo High remains bothered by knee soreness, forcing him out of their game against New Zealand on Sunday.

Also out is Sunday Dech (quadriceps) while Mojave King (hip) will be a game-time decision.

Adelaide is coming off its first win in the 2021-22 National Basketball League-Australia, escaping Tasmania 83-80 last Thursday.

Dustin Hannahs ended up top-scoring for the 1-2 Adelaide with 15 points and four assists on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line.

Daniel Johnson added another 14 points for Adelaide, while Cam Bairstow nine points and five rebounds. Mitch McCarron nine points and six rebounds.

Todd Withers nine points, three boards, and two assists.

Adelaide will next face Cairns on Saturday.
