Kai Sotto, Poy Erram miss Gilas practice

After the team saw a complete field last night, two players missed the third-to-the-last session of Gilas Pilipinas before it faces Kazakhstan on Friday.

Big men Kai Sotto and Poy Erram were not in attendance in the practice that started with a long film session, Tuesday afternoon at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City.

Sotto, who is just 16 years young, could not make it to practice as he still has classes at the Ateneo High School.

On the other hand, Erram was one of the early birds but had to leave early due to a family emergency.

In attendance at the training headed by Yeng Guiao were LA Tenorio, Jayson Castro, Troy Rosario, Marcio Lassiter, Gabe Norwood, Japeth Aguilar, Greg Slaughter, June Mar Fajardo, Matthew Wright, Paul Lee, Beau Belga, Arwind Santos, Scottie Thompson, Alex Cabagnot, Stanley Pringle, Christian Standhardinger, and Ricci Rivero.

Gilas, who is 5-3 in Group F of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, will host Kazakhstan on Friday and Iran on December 3. Both games will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
