With his stellar performance during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 in Riga, Justin Brownlee was named to the All-Star Five of the tournament.
Brownlee, 36, averaged 23.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in three games played in the tournament.
His stellar run included a near triple-double of 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists in Gilas’ 89-80 upset of Latvia.
Leading the All-Star Five is former NBA pro, Bruno Caboclo of Brazil.
Caboclo was also named tournament MVP.
He led Brazil to the Paris Olympics after a stunning 94-69 romp of Latvia in the final.
The 20th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft averaged 17.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game.
He was joined by teammate Leo Meindl, who averaged 14.0 points and 5.5 rebounds, on the mythical team.
Completing the team are Latvia’s Rihards Lomazs and Cameroon’s Jeremiah Hill.
