Joyme Cagande suffers left knee injury, does not return to NU-FEU tilt

Promising National University Lady Bulldogs setter Joyme Cagande went down in the third set of her debut match against the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws.

Cagande’s left knee collided with middle blocker Roselyn Doria’s right knee. Cagande apparently heard a pop in the joint.

Physical therapists iced and immobilized the three-time UAAP Juniors Best Setter’s knee.

NU only fielded 11 student-athletes for the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball tournament and are now down to 10 healthy bodies.

Rookie Klymince Orillaneda was converted to a setter just to let ends meet for the Norman Miguel-mentored squad.
