Josep Ferré named new Azkals coach for Mitsubishi Electric Cup

At long last, Thomas Dooley’s replacement has finally been revealed.

The Philippine Azkals have announced that Spanish coach Josep Ferré will lead the team for the foreseeable future.

The 39-year-old tactician has been active in Thailand throughout his career. He has worked with clubs such as Buriram United, Ratchaburi Mitr Phol, and Bangkok Glass.

Beforehand, he worked in Spanish youth academies such as CE Europa, CE Premia, and FC Barcelona Escola.

With him in charge, the Azkals look to improve on their performance from the previous edition, which saw them fail to make it past the group stage.
