A week after Adamson University’s valiant stand in the UAAP Season 85 Men’s Basketball Tournament ended, captain Jerom Lastimosa has yet to decide on what’s next for him.
Will he have one more dance with the Soaring Falcons or will he turn pro? Where will he play if he decides to begin a new chapter in his career?
The 24-year-old native of Dumaguete has yet to find answers to those questions.
“For now, wala pa talaga. But siguro next week na ako maglalabas ng desisyon ko kung aalis na talaga ako sa UAAP,” said the 5-foot-10 floor general.
In his senior year, Lastomosa averaged 15.0 points, 4.07 rebounds, 3.57 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest.
During the season, he earned four player of the game citations that gave him the PSBankable Player of the Season honor.
“Super blessed din kasi ako yung naging PSBankable Player of the Season. Sobrang saya ng season na ito at I didn’t expect this,” expressed Lastimosa, who led Adamson to its first Final Four appearance since Season 81.
His performances throughout the season caught the fancy of some overseas teams.
However, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, the negotiations between him and Jeonju KCC have hit a standstill.
But it’s just one of many offers Lastimosa has on the table.
“Merong offers,” he said.
And come next week, it will be decision time for Lastimosa as the midseason signings for the B.League and the KBL open.
