Jamie Malonzo signs one-year extension with Northport

Jamie Malonzo was curiously not part of the PBA’s official lineups for Northport as released on Monday.

But the Batang Pier are listing him back later in the afternoon.

This, as Northport renewed the high-flying 6-foot-6 winger for another year earlier in the day.

The development was confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by team manager Bonnie Tan.

“He just arrived from the States earlier in the day,” said Tan about the second overall pick in the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft.

“Inaayos na namin para makabalik siya sa lineup.”

Malonzo, 25, averaged 14.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals during the Governors’ Cup.

Also in Northport’s roster are Paolo Taha, JM Calma, Louie Vigil, Renzo Subido, Roi Sumang, Jerrick Balanza, Robert Bolick, John Apacible, Art Dela Cruz, Jervy Cruz, Troy Rike, Arwind Santos, and Kevin Ferrer.

Jonathan Grey is still in as a reserve.
