Jack Animam powers Radnicki to back-to-back wins in PZLS

Jack Animam had ample support this time around as SPD Radnicki defeated Vršac doo, 84-71, in the 2021-22 First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia season, Sunday morning (Manila time) at the SC Milenijum.

The 6-foot-3 Filipina had herself another dominant outing with 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting. She also picked up 16 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks.

And this time around, the rest of the redshirts’ starting five also delivered.

Danijela Dimitrijević, who was averaging just 4.7 points prior to this game, had 17 points with five rebounds and two steals. Meanwhile, Milica Inđić had 17 points, five rebounds, two steals, and a block.

Marijana Stojanović got 14 points built on three triples. Andrea Glomazić chipped in 12 points on 2-of-2 shooting from downtown.

After a close first half, Indic and Dimitrijevic linked up in a huge third canto for Radnicki to gain a 61-53 lead to enter the final frame. The lead would grow to as high as 17 points, 78-61, with 2:22 left.

The win gave Radnicki its first winning streak of the season to go up to 3-2 for a tie for fourth with Kraljevo.

Vršac, who fell to 1-4, saw Tina Selaković, Jelena Zorić, and Ljiljana Tomašević all score 16 points to pace their squad.
