Jack Animam notches season-high as SHU goes to 2-0 in UBA semis

Jack Animam continues to raise the bar in her collegiate swansong.

Animam tallied her season-high, powering Shih Hsin University to a 91-65 win over National Taiwan University of Sport in the University Basketball Alliance’s second round, Friday afternoon at Taipei Stadium.

The National University product tallied her season-high in points with 21 markers on 9-of-14 shooting with 13 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The former Lady Bulldog also racked up her 91st collegiate win.

With Animam leading the charge, the Tigers raced to a 47-25 halftime lead. It was enough to buck every rally National Taiwan University of Sport had in the second half.

Lin Yuanhua continued her heater run for SHU, which went 2-0 in the second round of the UBA, with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Meanwhile, Chen Yuti and Xu Wenxuan added 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

Last December 13, SHU triumphed over the same team, 74-59.

Freshman Gao Zhiqing was the sole NTUS player in double-digits with 14. Liao Weiqing hauled 10 boards.

Up next for Animam and SHU is Fo Guang University.
