Bay Area will parade two legit former NBA players in the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
In the Dragons’ lineup are 2012’s 19th overall pick Andrew Nicholson and former Philadelphia 76er Myles Powell.
But the PBA will not allow the guest team to field both imports in one game. So how will Brian Goorjian utilize both players?
Well, he will be juggling the two.
When Bay Area faces Blackwater (September 21), Northport (September 24), Phoenix Super LPG (October 1), and Converge (October 7), the Dragons will have 6-foot-1 point guard Powell as import.
Then against Ginebra (October 9), San Miguel (October 16), Terrafirma (October 21), and Meralco (November 4), Bay Area will have the 6-foot-9 Nicholson as import.
Goorjian though will need to make a tough decision after their Meralco game as he needs to pick either Powell or Nicholson for the final stretch of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Bay Area will only be allowed Hayden Blankey, Warren Liang, and Kobey Lam two at a time on the court.
Completing the team are China, Hong Kong, or Chinese-Taipei citizens Scott Ewing, Glen Yang, Si Kun, Zhu Songwei, Ju Mingxin, Liu Xiaoyu, Song Jianhua, Liu Chuanxing, Zheng Qilong, Zhang Zhiyuan, and Duncan Reid.
