Hatred stars in sweep of BTK as ONIC PH punches M3 finals ticket


Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales starred as ONIC Philippines became the first grand finalist of the M3 World Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The gold laner-turned-support led the Filipinos to a quick 3-0 sweep of North America representative BloodThirstyKings in the upper bracket finals at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Hatred’s Pharsa keyed the 17-5 Game One domination. He finished with five kills and five assists without a single death in the 15:12-minute match to put Onic PH up 1-0 in the series.

BTK came close in Game Three, but Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera’s flanks on Yu Zhong proved to be pivotal as the Filipinos came out with a 13-9 win in 22 minutes and 20 seconds of action.

He finished with three kills and seven assists without a single death in the contest.

MPL Philippines back-to-back champion Blacklist International will take on EVOS SG in the lower bracket semis later at 3:00 PM for the right face BTK in the lower bracket finals which is slated at 7:00 PM today.

Meanwhile, ONIC PH will take on the upper bracket winner tomorrow in a best-of-seven grand finals series.
